Greg Walker, LMHC


Greg’s experience as a counselor includes helping clients with personal growth, trauma, depression, anxiety, stress reduction, adjustment and coping, substance abuse, career exploration/transition, and religious/spiritual issues. He uses Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for trauma related issues along with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solutions Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) dependent on the client needs.

His main goal when first working with a client is to ensure that the client knows that they are heard, understood and that their healing is of paramount importance to their therapist.

Greg’s approach with the client is always one of genuine caring with a desire to match the interventions used with the problems presented.

Greg enjoys working with individuals ages 15 and up.

His clients can expect that he will be an active participant in the counseling process with a focus on accurately understanding their needs and providing them help to actively engage in and personally own their recovery, healing, and change.

Greg’s background includes over 30 years working in corporate settings with responsibilities ranging from junior staff member to executive management roles. He also served nearly 10 years in the armed forces and is quite comfortable working with veterans and/or family members of military personnel.
