Ryan believes that an abundant life is found when we are able to courageously live out of our truest self. However, suffering is an inevitable experience in the journey of life that often comes at the unfortunate cost of sacrificing who we truly are. While this sacrifice helps us survive our pain, the cost can leave us feeling lost and unsure of who we are and how to keep moving forward.

It is here that Ryan found himself at the beginning of his own counseling journey. Now, he seeks to sit with clients in their respective tensions, help them understand the sacrifices they have made, and move forward with hope and wonder towards living in congruence with who they were made to be.

Because everyone faces this tension at some point, Ryan enjoys working with anyone and utilizes an integrative, client-centered approach to counseling that focuses on exploring a client’s story, their most formative relationships, and the emotional cycles they find themselves stuck in. He has a particular passion for working with young adults as they encounter the challenges of this new stage of life. Additionally, Ryan seeks to help clients from all backgrounds in a variety of areas including depression and anxiety, low self-esteem, spiritual struggles, sexual addiction, couples counseling, career counseling, and DBT skills coaching.

Before pursuing a career in counseling, Ryan received his B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois and worked as a campus missionary in a Christian college ministry. Ryan went on to graduate from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando with an M.A. in Counseling.

When Ryan is not counseling, he enjoys spending time with friends, listening to music and folklore podcasts, and exploring the stories and worlds that are brought to life by video games, books, and movies.
